Class Outline and Expectations
This course is designed to efficiently cover the topics included on the AP Macroeconomics exam. Since AP Macroeconomics is typically taught over the course of a high school semester, and this course is limited to 10 sessions, the content will feel accelerated relative to a typical high school course. However, the content builds up from the foundations of economic theory such that a student new to economics can comprehend the lessons. Thus, prior knowledge of economics is not required to take the course. Homework will be assigned at the end of each lesson and is expected to be returned via google drive for assessment at least 24 hours prior to the start of the next lesson.
A grade of 5,4,3,2, or 1 will be given at the end of the course based upon the student’s overall comprehension of the material. The grade is designed as a predictor of how the student would score if they took the test immediately, and is meant as an indicator of the student’s current preparedness.
