Valentina Romero

Valentina hails from a background in pedagogy, designing and implementing educational programming across art institutions in the US and UK. Valentina has a Master Degree (MFA) in Writing from the Iowa Writers’ Workshop and a Bachelor’s in History of Art and Architecture, English Literature Minor from Middlebury College.

Valentina’s passion for education began in their undergraduate studies, making artworks and art theory accessible to younger age groups. They have since worked for museums and art institutions including the Whitney Museum of American Art, the Shelburne Museum, and Oxford Modern, working with students of various backgrounds. Valentina has since taught writing and art history, to students of all ages, ranging from elementary to undergraduate students.

Their work has received the support of the McIntyre Foundation, the University of Iowa, and the Joshua Tree Highland Artist Residency.
