Yasmeen Abed

Yasmeen graduated from Yale University with a double major in Modern Middle Eastern Studies and Political Science with distinction. In high school, she received a near-perfect score in SAT English and has ample experience editing academic articles, applications, and college essays. Yasmeen served as the Program Development Coordinator for Elena’s Light, a nonprofit that provides ESL education to refugee women in Connecticut. She has extensive experience curating curriculums for students of all educational backgrounds and has been teaching for over four years, including with DIYI where she taught an upper-level English Reading and Writing course. Next year, Yasmeen will work at Yale University in the Office of the Secretary and Vice President for University Life. She is excited to use her experience and passion for education to inspire students to achieve their educational goals.
